Well it's here... our family blog

I was hoping to convince everyone to start a family blog as a way to communicate with one another. We all have busy lives and many of us long distances apart. We don't get to visit one another as often as we would like because of building families, kids activities, careers, miles, and busy lifestyles.

I have a lot of friends who have family/friend blogs. They use their blogs as a way to keep in touch with family members. We don't always have time to call about the everyday stuff; let alone call everyone we care about.

For example...

Ana held her first ladybug yesterday. We were in the frontyard and looking at the rose bushes. I was about to move a planter when I knocked a ladybug off a leaf. Ana was mesmerized by its bright color and wanted to pick it up. I stopped her, afraid that she'd crush the poor little ladybug. So, I brushed the ladybug up onto my finger and coaxed her onto Ana's hand. Ana let the ladybug crawl over her hand, watching it with so much intensity. I held her other hand to prevent her from hurting the ladybug. We sat there for about five minutes just holding the bug and watching her. Suddenly, Ms. Ladybug decided it was time to go. She crawled to the end of Ana's finger, and fluttered away. Ana was so amazed. It is so great to see the world through her eyes.
